JokaBug’s Home Gym

Vintage Home Gym Archive - Entry No 5

JokaBug has owned a home gym for decades, but over the past 6 years, he has expanded it to the front yard, side yard, back yard, and home office. In Kihei, Hawaii, exists a festival of anvils, blobs, plates, arm wrestling tables, stones, and grip strength tools; a truly original home gym, JokaBug’s paradise.

What were the first older/vintage weights or equipment you acquired?

I started with blobs in 2016.

Why do you use vintage weights? Why not buy everything new?

I like old stuff that looks nasty. Never liked shiny new stuff.

What are the most used vintage weights in your home gym?

Be nice, help others without any though of getting something back, share knowledge, eat healthy, if you want to rip someone a new as**ole, wait a day, then decide, love your family 24/7/365, pay taxes, don’t break rules, don't talk religion or politics, breathe through your nose, stay away from sweets, stay away from drugs...pot Ok (CBD does wonders), alcohol in moderation. Be passionate about something. Be a leader not a follower. Be good.
